A graveside service for Danny C. Ward will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 1 p.m., at Grove Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Belfast Boathouse.

BELFAST — Danny C. Ward, 72, passed away January 30, 2021 at his residence in Belfast.

He was born Oct. 25, 1948 in Belfast to Thomas and Catherine Ward. 

He worked at local shoe manufacturing. Danny lost his eyesight while serving in the Army in Vietnam. Danny enjoyed fishing and camping in his spare time. He was a CB radio operator with the handle of The Sandman.

He is survived by his brothers, Thomas Ward and his wife Louise and William (Sonny) Sullivan and his wife June; two sisters Beverly Lounsbury and Joanne Clements. 

He left behind two sons, Daniel and Chad Ward, and his daughter Jamie Ward; and lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held at Grove Cemetery in the spring.
