ROCKPORT — Sept. 11 came and went this year with fewer ceremonies and remembrances than in years past, given the COVID-19 pandemic. However, at every flagpole, in front of every fire station and at locations across the country, citizens said quiet yet powerful prayers for those who perished on Sept. 11, 2001, and their families.

Nobody has forgotten.

Ni Rong, of Rockport, captured a simple act of deference and honor, Friday, Sept. 11, as postal worker Amy Phillips set the American flag at half mast, in front of the Rockport Post Office.
