ROCKLAND — On Thursday, June 27, at 6:30 p.m., photographer and author, Josie Iselin will dive deep into the life history and the history of the science of a few iconic kelps and seaweeds.
This talk will be at the Maine Coastal Islands NWR Visitor Center, 9 Water St., in Rockland.
Pioneering women scientists, exploratory expeditions and stunning images will transport you into the curious world of seaweed.
Herring Gut Learning Center educators will provide tools and supplies for seaweed pressings for attendees to experiment with after Iselin’s talk.
