Come Spring Food Pantry closed on the purchase of the building at 27 Common Road in Union March 31. After more than 20 years of service to Union and surrounding communities in Knox County, the Food Pantry has outgrown its current space at the Thompson Community Center.

The new building will feature an expanded food pantry, commercial kitchen, and community space.

Vital refrigeration and freezer storage will be shared with other local food insecurity organizations. Planned community uses including raised beds for gardening, walking paths, along with nutrition and cooking education programs. Proximity to Rt. 17 provides increased public visibility and the opportunity to connect with more of our neighbors in need.

Come Spring Food Pantry’s mission of feeding our neighbors with dignity, promoting health, opportunity and hope will continue to grow in scope at the new facility.
