BELFAST — Belfast's Department of Parks and Recreation, along with Friends of Belfast Parks, presents an authentic, outdoor production of the classic Greek tragedy, Euripides's Medea adaption by Robinson Jeffers and directed by Aynne Ames.
This timeless telling of betrayal and bloody revenge will be performed at the amphitheater on Belfast's Common, which is located at a point between Pearl and Miller Streets.
Performances will be Friday and Sunday, August 9 and 11, at 6 p.m.; and Saturday, August 10, at 1 p.m.
In case of bad weather, performances will be indoors at the First Baptist Church, 95 High Street.
All tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance, two weeks prior to opening, at Left Bank Books, 109 Church St, Belfast, or at the door.
This production is not suitable for children.
