Once again, this year “Christmas at the Chapel” will be held at the Rockville Community Chapel on December 12, at 6:30 p.m.
While no longer an active church, the chapel built in 1851 is significant for being the last public building in the village of Rockville (now part of Rockport).
The church, lovingly and authentically restored, is located on Old Rockland St, which runs parallel to Rt 17, directly behind the Green Thumb.
After a period of 50 years the Christmas program tradition was reestablished 2 years ago. In addition to Christmas carols, songs performed by students from Pen Bay Christian School, Reverend Linwood Welch from Warren Baptist Church will deliver the Advent message.
