The Camden Hills Regional High School Visual and Performing Arts Department is pleased to recognize Jack Nathan as a Student of the Month for June.

Jack has been involved in the music and drama program since his arrival at CHRHS in his sophomore year.  A member of Chorale and Chamber Singers, Jack has been a lead tenor in both ensembles.  He has participated in the MMEA District III Choruses for all of his high school tenure, and performed with the MMEA All State Choir in 2018 and 2017.

Jack regaled audiences in the role of Lucas Beineke in the 2015 CHRHS production of The Addams Family, in addition to his roles in Charlotte’s Web and Hush Little Celia.  In his senior year, he has once again hit the stage in both the One Act and the Spring Play.  His portrayal of character: Selsdon Mowbray in Noises Off  this Spring, had the audience in stitches as he made crashing entrances through the center stage window.

Jack has been a three-year member of the student a cappella ensemble: Off Beats, and enjoys getting the chance to serenade elderly ladies at area nursing homes, in addition to donning a Santa hat during Off Beat Christmas performances.  He will be attending University of Vermont in the fall as a Biomedical Engineering major.  The performing arts have been an integral part of Jack’s high school career.  He encourages younger students to get involved: “Music is a great way to connect with yourself and to get to know some amazing people.”

Congratulations to Jack Nathan.  We hope that you find some time to keep singing in college!
