CAMDEN – Merryspring Nature Center will host a free, hands-on program examining owl pellets for families and children on Friday, August 17 at 10 a.m.
In this final Free Family Friday of the summer, families are invited to Merryspring to learn about Maine's native owls.
After a short presentation about owl behavior and biology, guests will be able to open up owl pellets to discover mammal bones hiding inside.
There are no live owls at this program. This event is meant for children ages four and up.
This event is part of the Free Family Programs series, sponsored Camden Real Estate Company. Admission is free to all.
Merryspring is your community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round, according to a news release.
The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza.
