SEARSPORT — A charity motorcycle ride to benefit The Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England will start in Searsport, Sunday, Sept. 22.
With a Kick Stands Up start at 12 p.m., the ride will end in Augusta at approximately 1:30 p.m
This event is to honor Alex Hooper, a young man with spina bifida. He is one of the biggest supporters any motorcycle rider has, according to organizers, in a news release. Whether he is at an event or just out in public he will always stop and talk with you about your bike, or come up and say hello.
Hooper is a big supporter of anything having to do with the military and rides for veterans. He has a huge heart made out of gold. He supports the Chrome Angelz in any way that he can by going to events, talking with each and every one of us and always giving us a thumbs up or a peace sign as we ride by him.
So, in honor of this young man, the Chrome Angelz Wild Spiritz and Misfitz & Heathenz would like to put on a ride in his honor by donating all proceeds to the charity of his choice. He has chosen Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England.
Registration begins at 11 a.m., at Dunkin Donuts, 161 East Main Street, Searsport.
Event also includes raffle items and a 50/50.
