Candidates for Maine House District 92 and Senate District 12 will meet with the public on Tuesday, October 23, at 6 p.m., at Watts Hall in Thomaston. Area voters are welcome to attend and discuss issues with the candidates. Ann Matlack of St. George, candidate for Maine House of Representatives District 92 (Thomaston, St. George, Cushing, South Thomaston, Matinicus, Criehaven and the Mussel Ridge Islands) and Sen. David Miramant, of Camden (most of Knox County, Senate District 12) are confirmed to attend.
Candidates Justin Thompson, of St. George, and Wendy Pelletier, of Hope, have been invited and encouraged to attend, but have not confirmed as of October 10, according to a news release from the candidates.
“Direct voter contact with candidates is critical to the election process,” said Matlack, in a news release.
“We hope to have a lively discussion of issues in an informal and friendly format,” said Miramant. “What’s great about local elections is that voters can have direct contact with their candidates.”
The election is Tuesday, November 6.
