Event has passed

CAMDEN — The Camden Opera House’s free Blue Café series will mine a humorous vein Friday, Aug. 9, with Maine comedian Ian Stuart. Doors to the opera house’s intimate third-floor performance space will open 7 p.m., and the comedy show begins 7:30 p.m.

Comedian, writer, and producer Ian Stuart, of Portland, is the founder of the Portland Maine Comedy Festival and the Maine Comedy All Stars tour. He has become the local go-to feature comedian for national touring acts performing in New England, according to Blue Cafe, in a news release.

Fans of locally grown rap can spot him, as a vengeful Easter Bunny, in Spose’s “Good Luck with Your Life” video.

Admission to the Blue Café is always free, with donations to the Community Arts Fund accepted. 40 Paper Italian Bistro and Bar will provide a cash bar.

This evening is sponsored by Blue Harbor House Inn.
