Camden-Rockport girls soccer shuts out Medomak

WALDOBORO — The Camden-Rockport middle school girls soccer team hit the road to Waldoboro on Wednesday, Sept. 12 to challenge the Medomak Riverhawks and returned home with a 4-0 victory.

The Schooners netted a goal with four minutes removed from the game clock when Brenna Mackie found the back of the net. 

After netting only a single goal in the first half, Camden-Rockport collected a trio of goals in the second half. 

Mackie found the back of the net with two minutes gone in the second half, and found the back of the next roughly 15 minutes later. 

The final goal for the Schooners was scored by Molly Hixon with about eight minutes left in the contest. 

Kyra Anderson (8th grade) scored the first goal.

Brenna (not Breanna) Mackie (7th grade) scored the second goal.

Kyra Anderson scored the third goal.

Molly Hixon (8th grade) scored the fourth goal.

Ella Graffam (8th grade) played goal.

Medomak head coach Andrea Williamson credited Addison McCormick, Cindy Shelmerdine, Olivia Pelkey and Sara Nelson as being key contributors for the Riverhawks.
