    CAMDEN — Camden Police reported issuing 25 traffic citations between Aug. 3-Sept. 30. Of the traffic citations, 10 were issued for speeding, three for an expired inspection sticker, two for expired registrations, four for studded tires, four for insurance violations and one for failure to stop at a stop sign. In addition to the traffic infractions, Camden Police reported nine summonses and one arrest including the following activity.

    An arrest or summons does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

    Aug. 4

    David F. Widner, 62, of Camden, was issued a summons by Officer Brook Hartshorn for driving to endanger.

    Aug. 8

    Anthony J. Hai, 72, of Camden, was issued a summons by Officer Lucas Verrier for operating under the influence.

    Aug. 12

    Juvenile, 16, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Mark Bennett, Jr.  for illegal possession of liquor by a juvenile.

    Aug. 17

    Juvenile, 16, of Camden, was issued a summons by Bennett for carrying a passenger beyond immediate license restriction.

    Aug. 27

    Elizabeth Carney, 36, of Rockport, was issued summonses by Sgt. Wes Butler for failure to give notice of accident and failure to notify owner/operator of vehicle.

    Aug. 31

    Erin L. Curtis, 36, of Belfast, was issued summonses by Officer Paul Thompson for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and use of drug paraphernalia.

    Sept. 10

    Kevin Strong, 50, of Lincolnville, was arrested by Hartshorn for theft (felony auto).

    Sept. 29

    Juvenile, 16, of Hope, was issued a summons by Bennett for operating after suspension.
