ROCKLAND — A Camden man who is accused of beating and trying to strangle a woman, has been released from the Knox County Jail after posting $500 cash bail.

Christian Fisk, 21, was arrested by Camden Police Saturday night, June 29, and was charged with aggravated assault (domestic) and domestic violence terrorizing.

Fisk made his initial appearance in Knox County Unified Court July 1 where his bail was set at $500 cash. He is on supervised release after posting bail.

According to the affidavit filed in court by Detective Sgt. Curt Andrick, police met with the victim on June 29 about the alleged assaults. The woman reported that Fisk had “gotten physical” with her on multiple occasions with a young child present.

Police noted large bruises on each side of her face, several more bruises on both arms and scratch marks on her neck. The woman stated that Fisk had also tried to strangle her on multiple occasions, to the point “where it gets really hard to breath,” according to the affidavit.

When police asked Fisk if he caused the bruises on her face, he did not deny hitting the woman. He said he would only “backhand” her after she hit him, according to the police report.

The victim told police that Fisk had purchased her a make-up kit to cover-up her injuries.

Fisk will appear in court again Aug. 15 for a dispositional conference.
