CAMDEN - New Hope For Women received some help from the Women’s Student Organization, consisting of students from Camden Hills Regional High School, on Saturday, November 17 in front of French and Brawn Market in Camden. Hope Bifulco, spokesperson for the group, said they were raising funds for the New Hope For Women adopt-a-family program. She said NHW has a list of supplies that are needed.

“We are going to take the funds we raise today and purchase items on a list to help one of New Hope’s transitional families,” she said. “Sales have been really good and people have been generous with their donations.“

Bifulco said the students baked all the goods just that morning.

“It’s just by donation,” she said. “People pick out what ever items they want and then make a donation. This is our first time doing this. We’re a new organization at the high school.”

Bifulco said most of the items purchased will be home supplies — toilet paper, paper towels, diapers and the such. She said the group will be out again to try and raise more money. She also urged people to look at New Hope’s website for items that need donated and other ways to help the organization.
