Camden Hills ice hockey players collect accolades, play in all-star game

Some members of the Camden Hills varsity ice hockey team had a busy weekend Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 with an all-star game on Saturday and an awards banquet on Sunday. 

The Class B senior all-star game was played Saturday, March 16 at the Family Ice Center in Falmouth. The South team topped the North squad 5-2. Camden Hills players represented the North squad. 

Seven Windjammers were recognized Sunday, Feb. 17 at the Class B North varsity boys ice hockey banquet including Michael Blackwell (all-star game selection), Nate Van Lonkhuyzen (all-star game selection), Charlie Griebel (all-academic), Quinn Brown (honorable mention), Jackson Bernier (third team), Andrew Orne (second team) and Bryce Tyler (all-star game selection; third team). 

Tyler was also the recipient of the Hobey Baker Award, which awards ice hockey players based on their character, excellence, sportsmanship and love for the game.
