Camden Hills girls cross country finishes fourth at states, qualifies for New England championship
CUMBERLAND — Runners from Camden Hills, Medomak Valley and Belfast traveled to Cumberland on Saturday, Nov. 2 to compete in the Class A and B state championships at the Twin Brook Recreation Area.
In the girls division, Camden Hills finished fourth in Class A with a total time of 1:45:17.40 and Medomak Valley finished ninth in Class B with a total time of 1:55.49.63.
In the boys division, Belfast finished 12th in Class B with a total time of 1:38:12.26.
The Camden Hills girls cross country qualified to compete as a team at the 85th New England Interscholastic Cross Country Championship. Other Maine teams qualifying in the girls division were Bonny Eagle, Falmouth, Gorham, Greely and Orono.
Individually, Grace Iltis and Claire Wyman qualified for the New England regional competition from Camden Hills.
