ROCKPORT — The fourth-seeded Camden Hills football team took to a rain-soaked Don Palmer Field in Rockport on Monday, Oct. 29 to host fifth-seeded Old Orchard Beach in a Class E quarterfinal contest.

At the end of the muddy game, the Windjammers collected a 22-0 shutout of the Seagulls, avenging a triple overtime loss on the road from the regular season.

On Monday, seniors Spencer Johndro (one yard) Sam Hebert (10 yards) and Ethan Cayouette (four yards) found the endzone for the Windjammers.

The rushing attack was lead by Hebert, Cayouette and junior Brady Hedstrom with the trio combining on 37 carries for 172 yards.

The win provided Camden Hills with its first ever playoff victory in the first ever playoff game on campus.

Now the team is set to travel to Freeport on Saturday, Nov. 3 for a 1 p.m. showdown against top-seeded Freeport, who bested the Windjammers 14-6 this season.
