ROCKPORT — Camden Hills opened up a 2-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 6-0 KVAC win in the second half in the season finale in Rockport on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

Michael Blackwell scored two goals to lead the Windjammers while Havana Lyman, Quinn Brown, Ben Owre and Max Moore scored one goal a piece.

Bryce Tyler had two assists while Nathan Levig and Ben Owre had one assist each.

Nathan Levig and Matt Kremin combined to make two saves on two shots to earn the shutout in net for the Windjammers.

Zach Carrier stood on his head minding the Skowhegan net stopping 12 of 21 Windjammer shots.

Camden Hills had eight corners in the game.

It was a beautiful day of soccer. We had the opportunity to honor our seniors and their parents before the game, all of whom have contributed greatly to our program for many years.

The boys played really well, it was fun to watch and a fitting celebration of our seniors.

We were a bit sluggish in the first half but the second half we moved the ball with a lot more speed and precision and scored some beautiful goals despite an outstanding effort on behalf of Skowhegan's keeper.

Despite a record that wasn't quite what we hoped for, the boys played with courage and character all season and worked hard regardless of the scoreline.

We had a lot of fun along the way. We will miss seniors Havana Lyman, Michael Blackwell, Bryce Curtis, Nathan Levig and Nicholas Johnson and wish them the best in their future pursuits.
