BELFAST — Share poetry, readings, art work, music, and dance, original or from those who inspire us, Sunday Feb. 16, from 2 - 4 p.m., at The Playhouse, in Belfast. This will be an honoring of women's voices and lives, as well as honoring Mother Earth, but all are invited.
Raise the vibration, bring healing to people’s lives and the planet by celebrating V-Day: ending violence against women and girls.
If possible, send copies of poems and readings to assist ASL interpreters to Bridginghandsasl@gmail.com before Feb. 12 or if not, bring an extra paper copy with you if possible.

“We gather in solidarity with the international movement, V-Day, to raise the vibration,” said Eve Ensler, in a news release. "What we can do is remember we are the many and we can raise the vibration through action, art, connection, imagination and love. That is why we do theatre, art, music, poetry, dance. That is why we stand in the face of injustice and are just."
In 2020, there are still 1 in 3 women and girls who will experience sexual violence in their lives; the number of missing and murdered indigenous women is rising, and Mother Earth and her creatures are suffering, according to organizers.
“Despite this, we persist!” they said. “Women continue to lead in resistance, and truth telling. Raise the vibration.”
