Brooks EMS becomes independent organization

BROOKS – After many years of Waldo County General Hospital management, the Arthur Jewel Community Health Ambulance became an independent EMS service on August 1, 2018, according to a news release.
With support from the hospital, Brooks Ambulance Service, Inc, was formed on August 1, 2018.
They continue to meet the emergency healthcare and transport needs of the towns of Brooks, Jackson, Knox, and Monroe.
