Rockland Public Library will host a Maine Humanities Council Discussion Project this summer and seeks participants for this discussion series.
The discussions will celebrate Maine's bicentennial with a list of readings related to the following themes: Many Maines, Wabanaki Voices, and Race and Ethnicity. The reading materials engage with these themes and invite book group participants to discuss and reflect on key issues and important but lesser known chapters in the history of Maine.
RPL's Discussion Project begins at 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, July 22 via the Zoom platform and continues for three sessions. The additional dates, also at 2:30 p.m., are Wednesday, August 12 and Wednesday, September 23.
Readings for this program will be available as PDFs. For access to the readings and to request the link to attend via Zoom, please email email@example.com.
