CAMDEN — A retrospective exhibit of nine large archival prints of original silk-screen prints by Camden artist Bob Richardson will be on display at the Zoot Coffee House Gallery, in Camden, for the month of August.
Accomplished many years ago, most of the original editions of the prints are no longer available, so the 80-year-old artist had them professionally reproduced for this retrospective.
The exhibit, called “The Summer Prints, A Retrospective” is a collection of images from summers past that are representative of Richardson’s years as a recorder of scenes along the New England’s coast.
“Certainly a ‘look-back’ by the artist, they will also evoke memories for many of us who have been lucky enough to travel to them,” said Richardson, in a news release.
These particular prints include images from Block Island, Rhode Island, Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, Monhegan Island, and Mt. Desert Island.
The artist will be available at Zoot for coffee and conversation on Friday morning, August 2, at 9 a.m.
