Bluet’s Thursdays in The Field, at 181 Appleton Ridge Road in Searsmont, series celebrates the flavors of foods grown throughout the Midcoast and spotlights the agricultural community and the value of real food from good people.
Ticket sales are directly donated to Georges River Land Trust, which maintains the conservation easement of the blueberry field where this event takes place.
The event takes place every Thursday in July and August, 4 to 6 p.m.
With a ticket, guests are invited to explore wild blueberry fields, hike the River to Ridge trail, enjoy samples of Glidden Point Oysters, Lakin's Gorges cheese, Dooryard Farm veggies and Maine Crisps.
Each Thursday blueberry farmers, musicians, foragers and members of the local food economy, including Sara Rademaker, founder of American Unagi, who will share her story along with specially prepared bites of unag. More details are available at www.bluet.me.
