TENANTS HARBOR — The ninth annual Blueberry Cove benefit half marathon takes place Sunday, August 25, starting at 7:30 a.m., in Tenants Harbor. It's followed by awards and a full-course brunch.
All proceeds benefit children who need financial help to attend Blueberry Cove Camp in Tenants Harbor, founded in the 1940s by Bess and Henry Haskell and now part of the University of Maine's 4H camps and
The 13.1 mile race course follows the coast, including Marshall Point Lighthouse, Port Clyde village, Drift Inn Beach and quiet back roads.
Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome, and they must register in advance.
