Belfast to hold socially distanced New Year’s Eve celebration to ‘turn the page on 2020’

Event has passed

BELFAST — Want a lift to your spirits, going into the New Year? On December 31, at 2 p.m., sharp, Belfast Parks and Recreation will be providing an hour of free entertainment, provided by local singers and musicians.

This will happen on the lower part of the Common, next to Front Street. Front Street will be closed from Commercial Street to Miller Street, so you can just stroll by, stand, or bring your own seating and listen to songs of compassion, promise, hope, and joy. This program lasts under one hour and is free. Come, turn the page on 2020 and welcome in 2021 with our fine volunteers.

This is a completely, seriously COVID-19 compliant production. Singers are to be 14 feet apart, non-singers six feet. Masks must be worn at all times. Masks will be available on-site at no charge.

Come join us, sing, watch, dance (solo!), and Turn the Page on 2020.
