BELFAST — The Belfast Historical Society will meet Monday, May 22, at 7 p.m., in the Abbott Room at the Belfast Free Library to hear a talk by Gary Stuckey, museum volunteer and history enthusiast.
The talk “Up the Not So Lazy River, Life at Head of the Tide and City Point” is a look at the industries, dams, and buildings which once made for thriving communities up the Passagassawakeag River. The program features maps, historical references, photographs, and first-person accounts.
The Belfast Historical Society presents talks of local historical interest on the 4th Monday of the month from April through October.
