LINCOLNVILLE CENTER — Lincolnville Community Library hosts horror author Sam Eaton, Tuesday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m.

Samantha Eaton is the Lincolnville based horror author of The Insatiable Hunger of Trees and upcoming The Roots in Your Bones. She has been writing with the goal of publication for over a decade and has experience pursuing traditional publication, though she recently decided self-publishing is a better fit for her.

During this event, Eaton will provide an introduction to publishing as well as talk about how to draw readers in with a compelling first line hook, strong opening paragraphs, and other things needed to make your work enticing.

This event is geared towards aspiring authors of all ages and genres within the community.

“We recommend bringing something you’re working on, as there will be opportunity to get feedback on your first line hook and opening paragraphs, as well as step out of your comfort zone to share work with a new group of people,” said the Library, in a news release.
