Artisans, crafters sought for June Fiber Faire

Event has passed

ROCKPORT — The Camden-Rockport Historical Society will be hosting its 4th Annual Fiber Faire and Crafts event on Saturday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Returning Artisans are being joined by new artists and crafters but space remains for more artists who work in any kind of fiber from yarn to wood.

Vendors may sell finished craft products, supplies, tools, patterns and excess "stash" for crafting fiber arts.

This event is a fundraiser for the Historical Society. The space fee of $25 will benefit the storage, preservation and display of our textile collection. Tables are available or you may bring your own. This is an outdoor event so tents or awnings are recommended. Fiber enthusiasts with their own goats, sheep, llamas or alpacas are invited to bring them along with your own enclosures so we can make this a family event.

New this year is that the Fiber Faire will be coupled with an open day for the museum and other buildings with a display of all early textile related tools and a display of quilts through the centuries from the late 1700's.

Crafters and artisans who work with any kind of natural fiber or supplies for same are invited to participate in this lovely outdoor event that also showcases the 1700's Conway House, Barn, Blacksmith shop, Sugar House and Cramer Museum. Interested vendors should contact Jan Kelsey at 975-7644 or
