Event has passed
Painters, potters, photographers, fabric painters, glass blowers, and metal and wood artisans from across the Midcoast region will participate in the Thompson Community Center’s Second Annual Art Fair to be held on Saturday, June 3. Artists and artisans will be showcasing their talents on the lawn of the Big Yellow Building, located at the intersection of Common Road and Route 131 (South Union Road), visible from Rte. 17.
The Art Fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and coincide that morning with the popular Plant Sale at Union’s Vose Library, which opens at 8 a.m. just down the road. Also the same day, the Union Fair Car Show will open at 10 a.m. at the fairgrounds.
The Art Fair is one of many efforts of the Thompson Memorial Association to raise awareness of the potential of a restored regional community center in Union.
