APPLETON — Join the Appleton Library on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 4 - 6 p.m., as they celebrate the release of Ellen Taylor’s recently published book of poems titled Homelands. There will be light refreshments served and poetry readings by the author. Copies of the book will be available for sale with profits benefiting the Appleton Library.

Taylor is the author of two previous collections of poetry, Floating and Compass Rose, as well as a chapbook, Humming to Snails. Dr. Taylor has also published scholarship on Maine poets Celia Thaxter, Elizabeth Coatsworth, and Kate Barnes. She teaches writing, literature, and gender studies at the University of Maine at Augusta.
