ISLESBORO — On Saturday, September 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Islesboro Energy Team will hold its 5th annual Islesboro Energy Conference at the Islesboro Community Center.
The conference will explore,"Developing Community Energy," where Maine island and coastal residents will hear energy professionals, grassroots organizations, and town groups explain current issues, trends and decisions that impact every community, with the goal to foster community involvement and thinking, and to demonstrate what individuals can do to offset negative climate change.
Presenters include local and statewide leaders who are driving community and regional change. They will be discussing how their work is having an impact on global warming, economic progress, health, jobs, and the environment:
