Sam and Goose and Pippin all arrived via a rescue van this past winter and early spring from Mississippi and love living in Maine.
Now the three dogs are happy as clams.
The Pilot is collecting stories about animal adoptions. Have you adopted a rescue dog or cat (or any other animal!) over the past year?
Please send us a photo, the name of your new friend(s), and a little bit about where you adopted her or him from, characteristics, what they love, and how they are adjusting to Maine.
The Midcoast has seen an influx of new pets, especially dogs, from southern states and Puerto Rico. We meet them in the streets and at the dog parks, and they are all wonderful pets. And they all have their own story.
