‘Aging in Place in Union’ informational luncheon: pills versus candy
UNION — Union town office meeting room will hold the third ‘Aging in Place in Union’ free informational luncheon, Thursday, March 14, starting at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 1:30 p.m. The meal will have a St. Patrick’s theme and be an Irish boiled dinner from the MCH kitchen.
The program following the meal will be an AAA program called “Road Wise RX” regarding prescription drug use and driving and also Maine Poison Control information on identifying pills versus candy. Some areas of the meeting room will have additional information to help aging residents of Union connect to services and support in their homes.
The Aging in Place in Union Committee was formed in Spring 2017 and has met regularly at the town office with membership changing over the past two years as interested people have been identified.
This group has compiled a local resource guide and continues to seek information on the needs of Union residents as they age in their homes.
Reservations for the March 14 luncheon are not required, but you may call the Union Town Office at 785-3658 to notify of your intentions to attend, or to learn more about this event.
