TENANTS HARBOR — Aging in Place presents Exercising for Fall Prevention in cooperation with St. George Community Development, Pen Bay Medical Center, and Jackson Memorial Library.

The session takes place Wednesday, September 18, from 12 - 1:30 p.m., at 47 Main Street, in Tenants Harbor.

Antonia “Toni” Small and Adrienne Gallant will walk participants through exercises that strengthen your body and balance to prevent falls, and minimize injury should a fall occur. Participants should dress in comfortable clothing, and may bring a bag lunch. Beverages and dessert provided.

Small runs her own yoga studio, oryxworx.com. She is a Certified Integrative Yoga for Seniors instructor, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), and a Certified Hospice Volunteer who specializes in the 50+ age group, and also works with Pen Bay Journey to Health program. 

Gallant is a Community Wellness Specialist for Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital. She is a certified health and wellness coach, a master trainer for the Matter of Balance program and is a certified Tai Chi for fall prevention, arthritis and osteoporosis instructor.
