CAMDEN — The Camden Public Library announces a new opportunity for the public to access free, one-on-one career help. Beginning May 23, a representative from the Maine Department of Labor’s Career Center will be available for meetings at the library on 2nd and 4th Mondays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Career Center will provide walk-in service for members of the community who are seeking assistance with job and career-related matters. The first dates of service are May 23, June 13, and June 27.
Career Center representatives can introduce people to job search resources; provide guidance for resume writing and interviewing; help locate a registered apprenticeship; identify training and education assistance; explain federal bonding information; and help veterans access specially designated resources. For more information about this service, contact Marie Curtis at 207-707-2818.
Additionally, the Camden Public Library is launching a new page on its website with links to a wide variety of job and career-related resources. The page will go live by the middle of May, and can be accessed by visiting the “Learn” tab on the drop-down menu at librarycamden.org.
