43rd Annual Festival of Lights Craft Show supports shelter animals, Nov. 25
ROCKLAND — “As the days grow shorter and the crisp bite of winter fills the air, the Midcoast Maine community eagerly anticipates the festive warmth of the 43rd Annual Festival of Lights Craft Show,” said Pope Memorial Humane Society (PMHS), in a news release.
According to host PMHS, this holiday tradition, now in its 43rd year, promises a day of holiday cheer and unique, handcrafted treasures for all on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Rockland Elks Lodge, 210 Rankin St., Rockland.
“The Festival of Lights Craft Show has become synonymous with ushering in the holiday season in Midcoast Maine, and this year's event, held at the Rockland Elks Lodge, is set to dazzle attendees with an array of over 40 artists from across the state of Maine,” said PMHS.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., patrons can peruse a diverse selection of one-of-a-kind products, including ornaments, jewelry, pottery, candles, clothing, holiday-themed items, and much more.
A suggested donation at the door ensures entry, with all proceeds going directly to support the Pope Memorial Humane Society's (PMHS) ongoing mission. The Elks Lodge's kitchen will be open throughout the day, offering lunch options available for purchase.
In addition to the craft showcase, the event will feature a silent auction, a bake sale, and an opportunity to purchase the cookbook Recipes to the Rescue. This cookbook is a collection of culinary delights from the heart of the Pope Memorial Humane Society community, providing a taste of the season while supporting a worthy cause.
"The Festival of Lights Craft Show is more than just a market; it's a heartwarming celebration of community and compassion," said Kasey Bielecki, Marketing and PR Manager at PMHS. "By attending this event, you not only find unique gifts for your loved ones but also contribute to the well-being of local homeless animals during the holiday season."
