10 players, two coaches to participate in all-star baseball, softball games

This week, 10 players and two coaches from the Midcoast will be participating in all-star baseball and softball games across the state of Maine and even one game in New Hampshire. 

Schools sending players and coaches to the contests include Searsport, Belfast, Oceanside and Medomak Valley. 

Games will be played on June 17, June 19 and June 20. 

Maine vs. New Hampshire Senior All-Star Baseball Game

Representing the Midcoast will be pitcher and utility player Charlie Spiegel of Searsport and coaches John Frye and RJ Robertson of Searsport. 

The game will be played Monday, June 17 at Holman Stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire at noon. 

Senior All-Star Baseball Games

Representing the Midcoast in the Class A & B game will be third baseman, outfielder and pitcher Ben Ripley of Oceanside. 

Representing the Midcoast in the Class C & D game will be Spiegel. 

Both senior games will be played Thursday, June 20 at Colby College with the C & D game at 3:30 p.m. and the A & B game at 6:30 p.m.

Underclassmen All-Star Baseball Game

Representing the Midcoast on the American team will be junior shortstop Colby Snow and junior catcher and pitcher Daegan Moody, both of Searsport. 

Representing the Midcoast on the National team will be sophomore catcher Tanner Veilleux of Belfast. 

The game will be played Wednesday, June 19 at Saint Joseph’s College at noon. 

Senior All-Star Softball Game

Representing the Midcoast in the Class A & B north versus south game will be Addie Jameson (Medomak Valley), Chloe Jones (Oceanside), Lydia Simmons (Medomak Valley), Abby Veilleux (Oceanside) and Emily Wotton (Medomak Valley). 

The game will be played Thursday, June 20 at Colby College at noon.
