West Bay Rotary Donation Applications due April 1st

Mon, 03/30/2020 - 10:15pm

In these trying times, we are still accepting applications for donations.

Twice a year, the West Bay Rotary Club of Camden, through its charitable foundation, provides financial support to organizations that work to improve the lives of people in Knox County and Lincolnville.

The Rotary Club of West Bay Charitable Foundation accepts applications for donations up to $1,500 from charities and non-profit organizations that promote the welfare of residents in one or more of the Rotary International areas of focus.  Preference will be given to organizations that aid low income residents.

The donation request form is available online at www.westbayrotaryofmaine.org and includes instructions and important criteria for submission.  Applications must be received by April 1, 2020 for the June 2020 awards.

Congratulations to the organizations that received donations in February:  Bay Chamber Concerts & Music School, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine, Coastal Opportunities, Come Spring Food Pantry, MCH Inc. for Meals on Wheels, Midcoast Habitat for Humanity, New Hope for Women, One Less Worry, Simonton Corner Community Association, St. George Community Development Corp, Trekkers, and University Maine Rockland.

West Bay Rotary has five major fundraising events that help raise money to give back to the community.  These events are: Chili Challenge, E-Waste+, Duck Derby, Chowder Challenge, and Christmas Tree Sales/Santa's Gift Shop.  With community support, West Bay Rotary is helping make the Midcoast better one family, one child, one person at a time.
