Virtual Open House to Spotlight Ashwood’s New Nursery Program

Mon, 03/08/2021 - 2:30pm
Ashwood Waldorf School has announced the opening of a nursery school program beginning in September 2021. The school will hold a virtual information session on Wednesday, March 24, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. to introduce the community to its new program. All are welcome. Preregistration is requested. The online open house will offer families a chance to learn about the school’s new nursery program, as well as the full range of early childhood programs at Ashwood, including parent & child playgroup (age 18 months to 2 years with a parent) mixed-age kindergarten (ages 3-6) and extended day care for ages 2-6.

Ashwood's lead nursery teacher, Tamara Rosenthal, will be on hand to offer a brief overview of the program. There will be plenty of time set aside to answer guests’ questions. A trained Waldorf early childhood educator and mother of two young children, Tamara has been a member of the early-childhood teaching staff at Ashwood since 2019.

Ashwood's new nursery program will accept students who are two and three years old and still in diapers (or not). There will be three-, four- and five-day options available, with pick-up at noon or 1:00 p.m., plus extended day care available until 3:15 p.m. The school is expanding its programs in response to a growing need in the community and its desire to support families with younger. To preregister for the March 24 virtual open house, email info@ashwoodwaldorf.org, go to www.ashwoodwaldorf.org or call 207-236-8021.
