UMA Rockland Moves All Operations Online

Sun, 03/22/2020 - 10:00pm

Out of caution for students, faculty and staff all University course work and student support services through UMA Rockland have moved to online platforms.  Students and faculty are preparing to resume classes after spring break on Wednesday, March 25 exclusively through online web conferencing and other virtual instruction tools.

According to staff at the Rockland Center, faculty have been transitioning their course material to new instructional methods with the help of professional instructional designers.  Courses will remain highly interactive.

In addition, support services such as tutoring and academic advising are also being delivered online.

UMA Rockland's Director, Deborah Meehan says, "We recognize that due to Covid-19, students' lives have become very complicated. Some are out of work and have children at home full-time. We are reaching out to support their academic success however we can."
