Time to think about finals!  The end of the school year is fast approaching, it is worth putting in your very best effort to do well on your final exams. Often times these exams hold more weight and can count for 10, 20 or even 30% of your final grade. You definitely want to end on a high note. Here are some tips from The Study Hall to help you start preparing:

Look back over the course calendar and see, week by week, what topics you covered.  Make a summary list, and then write some thoughts about each topic.  Did you fully understand the material?  Do you see how it fits with the things that came before and after it?  Could you “teach” that topic to a new student in the course now?  If not, what parts still confuse you?  Pull together all of your old quizzes and tests. Go back through the questions. Can you answer them now? The list of topics you generate will help you know how to spend your review time.  Use the options of meeting with the teacher, studying in a group, or making an appointment with a tutor so that you can spend the time needed to become comfortable with the material.  You need to be in charge of your learning.  Start today.
