Thank you to our GOLD Annual Sponsor Vanderbilt Beach Resort

Thu, 12/03/2020 - 4:45am

West Bay Rotary would like to thank the Vanderbilt Beach Resort for being a GOLD annual sponsor of our events, including the annual Christmas tree sale.

The Vanderbilt Beach Resort has a rich history of welcoming guests and their families to Naples, Florida. For over sixty years, the family-owned and operated Resort has made its mark on Vanderbilt Beach, just a few steps from the Gulf of Mexico. Since Robert Moore's purchase of the hotel in 1968, when it was the only motel on Vanderbilt Beach, the Moore family has been extending its legendary gracious hospitality to thousands of guests, many of whom have become lifelong friends. Robert's son, Mike Moore, has operated the resort since 1976, and Mike’s son, Mick Moore, now is the third generation of the Moore family to take the reins and continue a long tradition of laid-back hospitality.

Support from our sponsors is an important part of our events and helps us raise money to give to give back to the community.

Due to COVID-19, we have had to cancel several events so far this year, and these are important fundraisers that help us raise money to give back to the community.  Our annual sponsors are an important part of the success of these fundraisers, so we really want to thank them all for their continued support of our club.

Christmas trees and wreaths will be available for sale at Maine Sport Outfitters, 115 Commercial Street, Rockport.  The sale will run until December 20th or until trees are all sold.  The hours are:  noon to 6 pm Thursdays and Fridays, and 9 am to 6 pm weekends.  An honor box is also available for after-hours sales.

This year, you will also be able to purchase Lucky’s Christmas Vacation raffle tickets at the tree sale fundraiser (while supplies last).  Tickets are $10 each or six tickets for $50, and the winner will receive a certificate for seven nights at the Vanderbilt Beach Resort in Naples, Florida.  Net proceeds from the raffle will benefit three local nonprofits that help people in need:  Camden Area Christian Food Pantry, One Less Worry, and the Shields Mission Project.  The raffle winner will be drawn at the Christmas tree sale on December 20th at 4 p.m.
