We don’t use garlic in our skincare but we do grow a lot of garlic out on Gotts Island.  We have meager soil and very limited water but we do have access to a lot of washed up seaweed.  We lay about a foot of seaweed mulch on our garlic each fall.  Carly always saves out the largest cloves for planting the next year. 

I also learned a lot about garlic one day vending next to a Maine garlic grower.  Most of the garlic sold in traditional grocery stores is from China and is at least 2-3 years old.  YIKES!
