The Study Hall has been hard at work finding ways to meet the community's needs when it comes to our children’s education this fall. Many schools in Maine are adopting a “hybrid model” for their return to school plan, which allows for 2-3 in-school days, and/or 2-3 remote learning days, with an option for full remote learning.

We at The Study Hall understand the difficulty and importance of making the best decision possible for reopening schools, but we also understand that the public schools may not have the resources necessary to meet the individual needs of students during this time. In an effort to fill in when and where students need, The Study Hall has developed new services that we will be offering, including Learning Pods, and revamped existing services to accommodate new schedules. We want students and families to have choices when it comes to education, and that means helping to connect the dots from public school options to private school options to homeschooling. We have done what we could to anticipate the needs of the community, but in order to create/adjust services that meet specific needs, we need your help.

We developed a short, 3-minute survey which focuses on the different options currently available in the community. Our goal is to assess what our community is looking for and address those needs. If most of the community isn’t interested in Learning Pods, then our time and resources could be better utilized in individual teaching/tutoring options; if most families are concerned with the schools reopening plans, we want to make sure there are other options available.

We will be continuing to assess the results on an ongoing basis, and we will keep you informed of the opportunities we are able to offer. The Study Hall has always prided itself on being accommodating to individual family needs, so please reach out to us if you are looking for any type of educational support. We will do whatever we can to accommodate your needs, and if we can’t help you, we just might know someone who can! You can email us at rockport@thestudyhall.com or call us at (207) 236-3949.
