Last Sunday was a beautiful day for a chairlift ride at the Camden Snow Bowl, to see the fall foliage and the gorgeous views from the top of Ragged Mountain.

This Sunday, Oct. 29, will be the final day of fall foliage chairlift rides, as the colors are at peak and the mountain staff begins to shift gears in preparation for ski and snowboard season.

The Ragged Mountain Ski and Snowboard Club will again host pancake breakfast Sunday, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., in the lodge.

Chairlift rides run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $5 for children 16 and under and seniors 70 and over; $10 for adults. It’s a 25-minute ride up to the top, where everybody disembarks and has the opportunity to visit the lookouts on either side. When ready to head back down, you can walk down the mountain or hop back on the chairlift and ride down with views from a different vantage point.

And for those looking to take advantage of Early Bird prices for Season Passes, the office will be open to purchase your passes, get pictures taken and obtain printed passes. Avoid the lines when snow arrives, and take advantage of the Early Bird savings, which ends Oct. 31.
