School Tour Offers a Window on Waldorf

Event has passed

On Wednesday, September 18, from 8:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Ashwood Waldorf School will offer community members an opportunity to visit classes in grades 3–8 in-session. This behind-the-scenes look at Waldorf education is for all those who are curious about what goes on in a Waldorf classroom. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, college or high school student, teacher, health care professional, or simply an interested community member or neighbor, please join us for this “window" on Waldorf education.

Every morning, in more than 1,000 Waldorf schools worldwide, the day begins with a dynamic, interactive main lesson, where academic subjects come to life through storytelling, movement, experimentation, and the arts. This tour allows visitors see the main lesson in action, as we sit in on three classrooms in session, from early elementary grades through the middle school. After the tour there will be time for questions and conversation with the school director.

For a preview of what you may see during your visit, or if you just can’t make it this time, hop onto Ashwood’s homepage where you’ll find three short videos celebrating 100 years of Waldorf education worldwide: www.ashwoodwaldorf.org

Tours of Ashwood's mixed-age kindergarten, ages 3–6, are arranged on request: info@ashwoodwaldorf.org.

Sign up and see firsthand how Waldorf works. Spaces are limited; advance registration is required by September 17: info@ashwoodwaldorf.org or 207.236.8021. All are welcome! Free of charge.
