FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 26, 2020 (Camden, Maine) – Applications are available for the Camden Rotary Club’s charitable grants on the Club’s website (https://www.camdenrotary.org/sitepage/grants). There are four categories of grants available:

  • A single large grant of $10,000 for a specific project or program that directly benefits a community organization.
  • A single large grant of $5,000 for a specific project or program that directly benefits a community organization.
  • A single grant of $5,000 for a youth-oriented project or program that benefits youth under the age of 20.
  • Five small grants of $1,000 each for a specific project that directly benefits a community organization.

All applications are due by Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Applicants must be 501(c)3 organizations registered to operate in Knox County or Lincolnville. Organizations can apply for grants in all categories but can win only one grant per year. Any organization that received a large or youth-oriented grant within the past five years is ineligible, as is any organization that received a small grant in the past two years.

The Camden Rotary Club’s Charitable Grants Committee prefers to fund projects for which the Camden Rotary Club award represents a significant portion of the project’s total cost. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate the capacity and readiness to start the project for which it is seeking funding in 2020. Grant recipients will be announced after a thorough review process by the charitable grants committee, the club’s board of directors and club members.
