The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) has begun registration for summer and fall courses and UMA Rockland Center staff are available to help recent high school graduates, transfer students, and returning students complete their application; start the financial aid process; and enroll in summer and/or fall classes. The Summer Session classes begin on May 17 and the Fall Semester starts August 30.

“With the fall semester, we anticipate a return to more in-person class opportunities at all UMA locations, including at UMA Rockland,” stated Deborah Meehan UMA Rockland Center Director.

“UMA looks forward to welcoming students to our Augusta and Bangor campuses and our eight UMA Centers this fall,” said Rebecca Wyke, UMA President.

Many financial scholarships are available for both new and returning students, and tuition waivers are available for high school juniors and seniors, as well as senior citizens. At UMA, there is no application fee, so now is the time to learn more, apply, and register for classes.

The University of Maine at Augusta has been a leader in providing access to a cost-effective and quality education since 1965. With campuses in Augusta and Bangor, eight centers located in Brunswick, East Millinocket, Ellsworth, Houlton, Lewiston, Rockland, Rumford, and Saco, and many programs available completely online, UMA is uniquely equipped to support students throughout Maine.
