Prophetic Tidbit: Truth or Consequences

Everyone will agree there is a torrent of conflicting information. The results create confusion, strife, division, uncertainty, and turmoil - a time where emotions are running high. If it is one thing that is badly needed, it the gift of discernment – to know the source, assignment, purpose, and motive of that which we hear and view. Like the Apostle, Paul stated, "There are, as it may be, many voices in the world, and they all have significance"(1 Cor. 14:10).

If we view truth and life from what we see, view, and hear, our perspective will always be tainted. When we rely upon our intellect, rationalization, and reasoning, that which we deem as "truth," it's the same thing as saying, "I don't need or trust God.” This path has consequences, as it distracts us from the peace, love, and joy that is ours in Christ Jesus.

Our call as Christians is to view truth and life through the eyes of our hearts. As we seek the Kingdom of God, our hearts will be enlightened by the Spirit of Truth, who imparts true understanding (Eph. 1: 17-18). In every circumstance and situation, the Holy Spirit reveals the truth that we may see reality the way God does – from the perspective of heaven.

As we abide in the presence of our King, we shall know, "The truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 32).  Through Christ, we are set from mental turmoil, unrest, or fear. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that you might have peace.  In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of GOOD CHEER for I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

As we abide in Christ and walk in His truth, we have fullness of joy, "For the “Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy IN the Spirit” (Romans 14:17).  God loves this nation, and He will preserve it. Now is the time to “Fear not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord" (Exodus 14:13).
